In 2027, our club will celebrate its centenary, a remarkable milestone that reflects 100 years of friendship, commitment, and community spirit.

This promises to be one of the most special and memorable years in our club’s history, and preparations are already well underway thanks to the dedication and hard work of many members and supporters behind the scenes.

While more details will be shared soon, we are currently gathering expressions of interest for a formal celebration evening, invitational games, and a range of other events that will bring our club community together to honour this very special occasion.

Congratulations to Riley Williams — last season Riley captained our Premiers, went on to represent Canterbury in the NPC, and now pulls on the black jersey in Sevens, representing Aotearoa New Zealand on the international stage.

Sione Tuitupu Lauaki was born on 22 June 1981 in Tonga and later moved to New Zealand. He attended Waitakere College in Auckland, where he played in the first XV in 1998, before transferring to Kelston Boys High School, continuing his rugby development. He played club rugby for Waitemata Rugby Football and Sports Club, contributing to their Gallaher Shield victory in 2003, becoming the fourth All Black from the club after Adrian Clarke, Ken Carrington, and Michael Jones.

Congratulations to our women’s team on their massive fundraising efforts. @dancarter_ even happened to be there to help donate to their cause. This team is a close knit group that is working hard to grow the girls and women’s community game at Waitematā.
